Western Red Cedar is widely considered the best internal cladding for a sauna due to its natural properties. Smooth Composite Garden Saunas
Our range of fully insulated premium garden saunas externally finished in smooth composite cladding.
Smooth composite cladding is manufactured using a combination of 60% recycled hardwood fibres and 40% recycled plastic. It is zero maintenance and insect and rot resistant. Unlike traditional timber cladding, smooth composite cladding does not require staining, varnishing or sanding throughout its lifespan.
Available in: Light Grey, Charcoal (Dark Grey\Black), Teak (Light Brown), Coffee (Dark Brown), Redwood, Olive Green and Ivory.
Thermowood Garden Saunas
Our range of fully insulated premium garden saunas externally finished in thermowood timber cladding.
Thermowood is a type of timber that has been heat-treated to improve its durability, stability, and resistance to moisture - without using any chemicals. It is created by heating the timber to around 160–215°C in a controlled environment with steam. This process changes the structure of the wood: Reduces moisture absorption, resistance to rot and fungi and makes it less likely to warp, cup, or twist. Thermowood is often chosen as a premium cladding material because it looks modern, lasts long, and requires minimal maintenance.
Thermowood is a rich brown color, ranging from a golden brown to a deep chocolate, as a result of the heat treatment process.

It is lightweight yet strong, making it ideal for external cladding and architectural features. Western Red Cedar is well known for its warm, rich colouring, ranging from pale honey and pink tones to deep reddish-browns. Over time, when left untreated, it weathers naturally to an elegant silver-grey patina, giving buildings a timeless, contemporary appearance.
